Job Purpose
To provide security and protection for the Corporation and all stakeholders (local and international). The role ensures compliance with all Constitutional, legislative, regulatory, and international obligations related to the protection of NECSA’s installations, sites, premises, materials, employees, and visitors.
The successful candidates will perform Access and Egress Control duties during shifts for all allocated NECSA operational entrances, exits, and facilities.
Principal Accountabilities
- Effective Access Control and searching in line with NECSA procedures.
- Conduct assigned security functions within NECSA sites.
- Handle and respond to all security incidents.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and NECSA-specific security standards.
- Asset management and associated administrative duties.
Requirements
Skills and Competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Planning and administrative capabilities.
- High situational and diversity awareness.
- Good self-management and time management.
Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence (Code B or higher).
- Meets vetting requirements (no criminal record).
- Age: Between 24 – 35 years.
- Physically fit to perform security duties (access and egress control).
Academic Qualifications
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4.
- Compulsory subjects: Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy (Numeracy).
- PSIRA Grade C or higher.
- Valid SAPS firearm competency (for all NKP-specified types) and proficiency at business level.
