✅ Requirements
To qualify for the Funza Lushaka Bursary, applicants must:

Be a South African citizen with a valid ID number

Be 30 years old or younger when applying for the first time
-
Demonstrate a strong academic record
-
Be passionate about teaching and willing to work with young people

Commit to teaching in a school as placed by a Provincial Education Department (PED) upon completion of studies

Be accepted into an approved B.Ed. or PGCE programme at a public university
-
Specialise in two or more priority subjects

Register by entering your personal information

Log in using the username and password you created

Select Funza Lushaka Bursary Scheme from the e-Services menu

Enter the OTP sent to your chosen communication channel

Accept the Terms and Conditions

On the dashboard, click on the 2026 Application button

Complete all required fields accurately

Accept the declaration to confirm your information
